FAMILY SESSIONS CAN BE LOCATED ANYWHERE, DOING ANYTHING. THEY CAN BE AS SIMPLE AS BRUSHING YOUR TEETH, A FATHER AND HIS SONS ON A LOG, OR DISCOVERING A CATERPILLAR ON ITS WAY TO BECOMING A BUTTERFLY.

Family sessions are meant to be casual and breezy. Once you have booked a session, a questionnaire and additional information will be sent to the client detailing expectations to understand hopes and intentions.

I offer sessions at reduced rates for families who are facing difficult times. This includes loved ones who are terminally ill or who have family members who are nearing the end of life. It is never easy to say goodbye, but having a cherished memory of them, helps.
This portion of my photography portfolio launched when I started mindfully taking photos of grandparents and their grand-kids, or parents with their teenage and college bound children. I am an archivist at heart. Life often deals heavy blows and it is impossible to know what the next day will bring. Some of my most cherished photos are those of me and my loved ones whose time on Earth ended too soon. I will always be grateful for those individuals who took the time to provide that gift for me.
These sessions are meant to be a happy window in time to make some memories and to forget about the struggles of life for a while. Please contact me for more information, special pricing and scheduling availability.

HOW TO BOOK A SESSION:
Please send an email to: alicia@studiobismillah.com for availability and please specify session type and date.
In addition, a $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot on my client calendar and is due at time of booking to secure your session.
WHAT IS THE BEST TIME OF DAY?
If the session is out doors, I need to shoot in the late in the afternoon or up to an hour before sunset. This is when the best light is available.
HOW SOON SHOULD WE BOOK?
As soon as possible. I only take a small number of clients a month because I have my own little children at home. My calendar fills up months in advance because I want to make sure that everyone gets the dedication and care that they deserve.
WHEN WILL WE GET TO SEE OUR IMAGES?
I do send out a sneak peak of an image or two within the first 48 hours. Your full gallery will be ready within three weeks of your session date, unless otherwise discussed. Photos are delivered in a social-media friendly online gallery for viewing and downloading.
Prints in the forms of singles, albums, frames or canvases are not included in the session price.
Minnesota Sales Tax will be added to the purchase of your prints or framed collections.
